For reference, brief biographies of the "hands on" UPRR principals are provided below.

Robert "Bob" Irvine
A founder of UPRR, Bob has been involved in the unclaimed property industry since 1983. He began his unclaimed property career as a state official in the MA Abandoned Property Division. Later, he worked for the 2 major state agents for unclaimed property reporting and then created the unclaimed property division of a major transfer agent responsible for millions of dollars in unclaimed securities reporting annually. Irvine holds an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.

Peter "Pete" Miller
Another founder of UPRR, Miller began his career as a Systems Engineer at IBM where he later became the Director of Business Management for Financial Systems. Then, he joined The First National Bank of Chicago where he rose to the position of Corporate Senior Vice President of Securities Services. Miller is a licensed attorney and an industrial engineer.

Ron Smith
With a background steeped in information systems design, programming and operations-related to securities systems and transfer agent operations, Mr. Smith is an integral part or UPRR's intensive information processing operation. Smith served as the Management Information Systems Director for Multimode Inc. for 5 years and then became the chief operating officer of CIC DISC Corporation where he managed back office operations for a major transfer agent. While at DISC for over 11 years, Smith was involved with systems design of various bank and transfer agent processing systems. Next, Ron worked with ACS Financial and Securities Services where he managed 50 employees and designed an unclaimed property processing system. In July, 1999, Smith moved to UPRR where he serves as UPRR's technology expert.

Karen Anderson
Karen Anderson, has serverd as a vice president in the consulting practice of Unclaimed Property Recovery and Reporting (UPRR) since Fall, 1996. A verteran in this area, she has been involved in the unclaimed property compliance industry since 1988. Her professional background includes expertise in government policy with an emphasis on state unclaimed property law and regulation. As a member of the policy staff of a former Illinois Governor, Karen was assigned to guide policy and programs relating to state business regulation. For five (5) years, Ms. Anderson served as Illinois' Unclaimed Property Administrator. After leaving state service, Karen served as the first Administrator of the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators. Anderson holds a law degree from Loyola University of Chicago.

John Carney
John Carney, an UPRR sales vice president, has a securities processing industry career that spans 40 years beginning with his work at Morgan Guaranty Trust. Later, John joined Citibank where he held various positions in stock transfer administration and operations. In 1980, Mr. Carney became vice president of sales for CIC Data Corporation, the premier provider of back-office outsourcing services in the corporate reorganization arena. John continued to be an innovator by creating MICR Corporate Services in 1985 and serving as its president and principal until the company was sold to MCC Corp. Carney then continued his work as vice president of financial services for MCC Corp. until joining UPRR.

Robert Murray
Robert Murray, a vice president at UPRR, manages the company's nonsecurities consulting practice. Bob is a certified public accountant who has been active in the unclaimed property industry for the past 7 years. He previously served as a senior financial executive with various companies in the specialty retail industry and has a unique understanding of the operations-related issues facing corporations in meeting unclaimed property compliance requirements. In addition, Mr. Murray's background includes work with disbursement recovery audits at major corporations.

Gerard O'Leary
In 2001, Mr. O'Leary joined UPRR as a sales vice president after a career in securities processing that spans 40 years. Prior to joining UPRR, Jerry held various positions in the securities processing industry, primarily functioning as the senior business manager for various organizations' stock transfer, corporate trust and merger and acquisitions business units. Mr. O'Leary assisted in the strategic planning, development and subsequent management of securities processing offices and held senior management positions at First Jersey National Bank, the First National Bank of Chicago, Fleet National Bank, and EquiServe. Mr. O'Leary served the industry as Chairman of the Midwest Securities Transfer Association Operations Committee, Operations Liaison for Northeastern Securities Transfer Association, and as an active member of the national Securities Transfer Association Operations Committee.
